UdeC Te Acompaña (UdeC is with you) is not just another program offered by UdeC to its students. It is a preventive, inclusive, and community-based approach that provides actions aimed at students’ health and well-being and comprehensive training.
The Student Services Directorate (DISE), from the Health, Student Welfare, Extra-Curricular Activities, and Sports units, promotes the project that fosters accompaniment, prevention, and collective action in university life, encouraging healthy networks and environments. The varied activities reflect DISE’s permanent commitment to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the student community, as a fundamental part of an integral and meaningful university experience.
1. Outdoor Yoga. From the Sports area, a space is offered to pause, breathe, and reconnect in the middle of university life, occupying several campus spaces.

2. UdeC is with you: Wednesday is for Games. Weekly space in front of the Virginio Gómez Building to share games, art, and community meetings.

3. Midwifery is among the services of the health unit. Professionals in the area provide consultations to students and conduct counseling at fairs focused on sexual and reproductive health.

4. Treating people well campaigns. Throughout the year, the Wellness Unit promotes actions to strengthen healthy ties within the student community.

5. World Mental Health Day. DISE officially commemorates this day to highlight the importance of prevention and care in mental health. A seminar and outdoor market characterize the day.

6. Book Exchange Fair. Organized every April by Extra-curricular Activities, it promotes bartering and reading habits in the university community.

7. Training of Gatekeepers for Suicide Prevention. DISE has held two training sessions in 2025, together with the Biobío Local Health Authority, to strengthen early detection and the first response to suicidal risk situations within the community.

8. DISE Complementary Subjects focused on socio-emotional development, physical activity, and the comprehensive preparation of students—photograph of the defense of the final works.

9. Artistic courses show. Every semester, students enrolled in the workshops fill the Sports Center with color and energy with a show open to the public.

10. First aid. The Health Unit and the Health and Sports Department joined forces in 2025 to provide a course on action tools, guidelines, and protocols.
